Welcome to the Swiss Literature Research Unit at Queen Mary, University of London
The Swiss Literature Research Unit was launched in September 2008.
Housed in SLLF/ German within the School of Languages, Linguistics and Film, the Unit pursuits the following goals:
- the facilitation of innovative research on Swiss culture with special reference to the fields of literature, language and intellectual history;
- outreach to the academic and general public through public lectures, colloquia, conferences on important Swiss themes as well as readings by Swiss contemporary writers.
The Unit hosts a special research collection on Swiss Literature from 1800 to present day kindly donated by the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia
The Unit offers Max Geilinger Fellowships (on a bi-annual basis)
