A street is named after Professor Trevor Dadson in the town of Villarrubia de los Ojos, provincia de Ciudad Real

As a result of Professor Dadson's study of Villarrubia de los Ojos, entitled "Los moriscos de Villarrubia de los Ojos (siglos XV-XVIII). Historia de una minoría asimilada, expulsada y reintegrada" (Madrid, 2007), he went to Villarrubia, the actual town, to do a book launch (June 2007), and then returned in April 2008 to give a public lecture. On both occasions a number of townspeople petitioned the Mayor to do something to honour his work on the town, which was the first history of the place and its inhabitants. As one of them said after his lecture: 'Professor Dadson had given them their history and told them who they were and where they came from.' Many families in fact found their ancestors in his book. Last July the town council meeting in plenary session voted unanimously to name one of the new streets after him in recognition of his work on Villarrubia. This has now been done, as can be seen on the maps below (click on the images to see them full size).
