Medieval Hispanic Research Seminar (MHRS)
Welcome to the Medieval Hispanic Research Seminar (MHRS) based in the department of Iberian and Latin American Studies at Queen Mary, University of London.
MHRS was founded in 1967 by Professor Alan D. Deyermond to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of work by graduate students at Westfield College. Since then, it has expanded its remit to include papers from anyone working on the art, culture, history, languages and literatures of the Iberian world in the Middle Ages.
In addition to its monthly Friday research seminar, MHRS runs an annual Colloquium, bringing together scholars from United Kingdom, Europe and the Americas, occasional Symposia, and has its own series, the Papers of the Medieval Hispanic Research Seminar, which publishes short monographs and editions.

The site is young, so please send comments and suggestions for improvement to us at mhrs@qmul.ac.uk.
