Language Centre

         

The Queen Mary University of London Language Centre is a state-of-the-art, multi-media learning facility, designed to provide a technology-enhanced language learning environment. The Language Centre is run jointly by the School of Languages, Linguistics and Film and the Language & Learning Unit and was opened in January 2007.

The Centre comprises three large digital language laboratories for language teaching and self-access language learning, plus two smaller mini-labs. Each lab is equipped with powerful teacher and student workstations running the AVIDAnet® Tenjin multimedia laboratory software. Each lab is also equipped with a SMARTBoard™ interactive whiteboard to provide media-enhanced teaching and learning. In addition to this each workstation is fitted with TV software for viewing live satellite television.
