The Intellectual History Section of the CAGCR facilitates lectures, colloquia and workshops at the interface between the English and German language intellectual and philosophical traditions.
The key research areas for this component of the CAGCR are the following:
- The relationships between philosophy, literature and culture in the English and German language cultural traditions
- English and German language literary theory and critical theory
- The reception of German language philosophy and thought in the English speaking countries, and of English language philosophy and thought in the German speaking countries
